We are holding interviews and swim tests at an Open Day in The Leisuredrome ,Bishopbriggs on Saturday 29 March 2025 from 9am-4pm. Check myjobscotland for more information.

We are searching for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our Lifeguard/Leisure Assistant teams. Here are all the details you need:

• Salary: £25,310 - £27,510
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Position Type: Full Time/Part Time (Pro rata)
• Hours: 37 hours FT. Various Part time hours
• Locations: Leisuredrome, Bishopbriggs , Allander Leisure Centre, Bearsden and Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre

We have a number of posts available ranging from 14 hours per week up to 37 hours per week. All work patterns will be fully disclosed at interview or can be requested prior to the day.             

In this dynamic, hands-on role, no two days are the same. You will:

• Deliver an exceptional experience for every customer
• Be the vigilant lifeguard, ensuring the safety of all swimmers
• Set up our facilities and equipment for events and customer use
• Keep everything clean, safe, and presentable.

Benchmarked against public operators in Scotland as a Leisure Assistant for EDLCT you will be one of the highest earners for that role across Scotland and you will have:

No experience is needed! However, our ideal candidate will be:

• A competent swimmer
• Confident and professional in communicating with diverse groups of people
• Able to work well both independently and within a team
• Quick to learn and follow all pool safety standards and procedures

Please note that while a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is desirable, we offer Lifeguard Training if you don’t have one. However, the candidate must pass the NPLQ before commencing employment.
