About
A one-woman theatre piece by Anna Carlisle with Alexandra Mathie in the title role.
This new theatre piece from Heroica Theatre Company sets out to unravel the knotty bond between the reckless private life of painter Pat Douthwaite (1934-2002) and her dramatic art works.
An artist of extraordinary and unique vision, she screamed out an uncompromising take on the human condition. The art-loving public was by no means ready for such an aggressive and unbridled style as Douthwaite's, however, and - tragically - she saw scant proper recognition in her lifetime.
The production, integrating dialogues, images and music, will pull no punches, so get ready for an astounding performance - that will certainly get you talking.
All performances to be followed by a Q&A with the actor and the writer.
